Men's Squash Team Opens Crucial Week With Showdown vs. Top-Ranked Trinity
January 08, 2017 | Men's Squash
The Princeton men's squash team is hoping to make a move back into the 'A' flight of the CSA team championships this season. The Tigers can make a big step this weekend, although they can make a major stop Monday afternoon.
The Tigers (2-2) will host top-ranked Trinity College Monday at 12 pm at the Jadwin Squash Courts. Trinity is unbeaten on the season (7-0), including an 8-1 win at Penn Sunday afternoon.
Princeton has been led by a talented set of underclassmen this season, including freshman Adhitya Raghavan, who placed third at the prestigious British Junior Open championships last week. Classmate Gabe Morgan has also been a strong presence atop the lineup, while Shehab Thabet has overcome early injuries to battle for his spot in the lineup. The sophomore trio of Clark Doyle, Cody Cortes, and Spencer Anton has also made a big impact after gaining an important year of experience last season.
The match will begin at noon Monday, and all courts will be streamed live on the Ivy League Digital Network.
Princeton will open its Ivy League season this weekend, and it will have two opportunities to make a move up the rankings. The Tigers will open with ninth-ranked Dartmouth Saturday at 2:30, and then they will face No. 4 Harvard Sunday at 2:30. Both matches will also be streamed live on the Ivy League Digital Network.
