Wilson Sets Career Record For Assists As Princeton Picks Up Two Wins

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The No. 11 Princeton Tigers earned two victories to open the Harvard Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
The No. 11 Tigers scored a 13-7 victory over George Washington in the morning and a 14-11 decision over Wagner in the afternoon. Ryan Wilson had 10 assists today and now has 62 helpers this year which is now the single-season record.
The Highlights: George Washington
The Tigers held the Colonials to one goal in the second quarter to take a 7-5 lead into halftime.
Princeton scored the last two tallies of the third quarter to take a 10-6 advantage into the final frame.
Ryan Wilson broke the program record for career assists (148) as he had six helpers in the contest.

A fast-paced first eight minutes featured eight combined goals, setting the score at 4-all. Princeton started to separate itself, putting up three more tallies in the second quarter, taking a 7-5 advantage into the intermission.
George Washington remained within striking distance to open the second half before the Tigers rallied with two final two tallies of the third quarter including one as the clock expired.
Sean Duncan registered two of his five goals in the final quarter that punctuated the Tigers' 13-7 victory.

Princeton put on an offensive show in the second stanza, snagging seven goals, as they led 10-6 at the intermission. The Tigers lead by as many as six in the third frame, but led 12-9 after 24. Wagner outscored Princeton, 3-2, in the final quarter, but the Tigers earned a 14-10 victory.
