Princeton Boathouse Fall Fundraising Effort In Support of Puerto Rico!
Once again this fall, the entire boathouse is taking part in a fundraising awareness campaign. This year, we are raising money in support of Puerto Rico following Hurricane Maria. There are a number of current team members and recent alums from Puerto Rico who have been directly and drastically effected by the storm and the boathouse wanted to do something to help. At the suggestion of our teammates from Puerto Rico, we will be fundraising for the Fundación Infantil Ronald McDonald, which assists children and their families in their time of need through the support of programs that improve the health and well-being of children. The foundation houses families and provides free medical care for children. It plays a key part in holding families together and keeping kids' spirits high during very difficult times. As the number of people in need grows, many still do not have the support necessary to heal and rebuild, making The Fundación Infantil Ronald McDonald a vital piece of recovery efforts. With our support, we can directly assist this foundation and provide aid to the citizens suffering in Puerto Rico.
Over the last two years, the Princeton boathouse has raised over $30,000 to support important causes! This year, we hope to add more to this achievement. We have set up a donation page that you can share with friends, family and coworkers. Donate, share the post, talk about it with friends, share our story. All four rowing teams at Princeton and the entire Island of Puerto Rico are grateful for your time and any assistance you can give. If you are interested, I hope you will consider a small effort on our behalf to help us reach our goal. CLICK HERE to find our fundraising page. We have set a goal of $5000 but will only be able to reach this with your help! Anything you can give will benefit those in need.
