Cate Barry Named CRCA Lightweight Athlete of the Year Finalist

PRINCETON, N.J. – For the second consecutive season, Cate Barry of the Princeton University women's lightweight rowing team was named a finalist for the College Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) Lightweight Athlete Year of the Award.
Barry, who was the 2025 CRCA Lightweight Athlete of the Year, will aim to repeat the honor in 2026. She was also named a 2026 CRCA All-American.
2026 saw Barry sit in the stroke seat for the 8+ all season, leading Princeton a gold medal and the team points trophy at the Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) National Championships. The 8+ also won gold the Tigers won the team points title at Women's Sprints in 2026.
