Women's Lightweight Rowing Sends All Three Boats To Grand Finals at IRA National Championships

GOLD RIVER, Calif. – The Princeton University women's lightweight rowing team advanced all three of its boat to Grand Finals Saturday at the Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) National Championship Regatta. The 8+, 4+ and 2x each earned a spot in their respective A finals.
"Our team raced with composure today and accomplished what we set out to do," said Assistant Coach Katherine McFetridge. "We're looking forward to competing in the finals tomorrow and excited to see what we can accomplish together!"
The 8+ (6:44.360) will look to defend their national title in tomorrow's Grand final after defeating Boston University (6:50.580), MIT (7:02.220), Sacred Heart (7:22.170).

In the 4+, Princeton (7:34.010) earned a first-place finish. The Tigers got past Wisconsin (7:40.210), MIT (7:45.300) and Sacred Heart (8:01.690).A first-place finish and a spot in the Grand Final!

The 2x (7:57.130) came in second behind Boston University (7:49.710) and ahead of MIT (8:02.180) and Gordon (8:04.610).2-for-2 Grand Final appearances!
