DeGarmo Named Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week

Senior Ellie DeGarmo was named the Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week, for the week ending March 12.
DeGarmo held No. 8 Notre Dame to just eight goals in a 14-8 win over the Fighting Irish on Saturday. Notre Dame entered the weekend with an 8-1 record, averaging 15.67 goals per game. DeGarmo made nine saves to limit the opponent to half of what it had been averaging. She added two ground balls in the game to keep Princeton one of three unbeaten teams in the nation as the Tiger improve to 5-0.
This is DeGarmo's second Ivy League honor of the 2017 season.
Now ranked No. 6 in the IWLCA national poll the Tigers will next face No. 9 Penn State on Tuesday, March 21 at 2 p.m., on Sherrerd Field at Class of 1952 Stadium.
