DeGarmo and Hompe Sweep Weekly Ivy Honors

For the second consecutive week, the Princeton women's lacrosse team has swept the Ivy League weekly honors as seniors Ellie DeGarmo and Olivia Hompe captured both the Defensive and Offensive Player of the Week.
DeGarmo made nine saves to keep Princeton unbeaten in Ivy League play at 3-0 in a 20-5 win over Harvard. DeGarmo held Harvard, which entered the game averaging 13.80 goals per game, to just five goals. In addition, she held the Crimson's leading goal scorer Marisa Romeo scoreless on five shots.
Hompe had five goals and one assist in the biggest margin of victory in the Princeton-Harvard series on Saturday. She scored on all five of her shots on goal and scored three straight in a span of 3:01. With her five goals she surpassed two Tigers on the all-time goals list and is now in third place with 164 tallies. Hompe also collected four ground balls as Princeton scored 20 goals for the first time since the 2005 season.
No. 7 Princeton faces its toughest opponent of the season on Wednesday, April 12, when it visits No. 1 Maryland.
