Sports Business Journal 40 Under 40
Former Princeton women's lacrosse player Ann Rodriguez '99 has been named to the Sports Business Journal's Forty Under 40.
The Vice President of Business Operations for the Atlanta United FC, Rodriguez has also helped to launch two additional professional soccer teams. She joined Atlanta United in June 2015 after working at Under Armour in business development and brand marketing in the soccer arena.
Rodriguez has been labeled as a key figure in helping set several Major League Soccer expansion club business records, including: more than 30,000 season tickets sold for the team's inaugural season in 2017. She has helped to arrange sponsorship deals that are some of the most lucrative in the MLS, and its kit deal with American Family Insurance is ranked in the top three for revenue. Rodriguez is currently working on helping the club build a $60 million training ground in which she is contributing in venue development and commercialization strategy of the 33-acre compound. Atlanta United's merchandise ranks among the league's best-selling items, in large part to Rodriguez' efforts in brand development and product and retail sales strategy.
Rodriguez graduated with a degree in ecology and evolutionary biology. She played in 18 career games as a Tiger and have seven points.
