Tigers Sweep Ivy League Women's Lacrosse Awards

Senior Olivia Hompe was named the Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week and senior Madeline Rodriguez was named the Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week, as Princeton swept the league's weekly honors.
Hompe had a 17-point week to lead the Tigers to a 2-0 week with wins over No. 10 Syracuse and Delaware. Against Syracuse she net a career-high seven goals and finished with career-high nine points. She is the first Tiger to score nine points in a game since 2013, and is just the eighth player in history to do so. On Sunday against Delaware, her eight-point game moved her from fourth on the Princeton all-time scoring list to second with 225 points. She scored her five goals in a span of 17:11, while she tacked on three assists to bring her season total to 50 points. In addition, she added four ground balls, three caused turnovers and one draw control.
Rodriguez had seven draws, four caused turnovers and three ground balls as Princeton defeated No. 10 Syracuse 16-11 and Delaware 16-4. Against the Orange, she won a game-high six draw controls and caused on turnover. Against Delaware, she had three caused turnovers, three ground balls and one draw. She helped to limit the Blue Hens to just six shots in the second half and one goal.
Senior goalie Ellie DeGarmo was named honorable mention after posting a .651 save percentage and an 8.09 GAA during the week, which included a career-high 18 saves against the Orange.
Princeton hosts Harvard this Saturday, April 8 at 1 p.m., at Class of 1952 Stadium.
