Princeton Announces the Women's Lacrosse Class of 2021

Princeton head women's lacrosse coach Chris Sailer is proud to announce the seven student-athletes that make up the Class of 2021.

"This is an exceptional recruiting class for Princeton Lacrosse, and we couldn't be happier to officially welcome Marge, Sam, Jordan, Morgan, Mary, Olivia and Kyla to our team. Not only are they talented and accomplished players from outstanding high school programs, but they are also wonderful people who will be great ambassadors of Princeton University and fit right in with our team. The class is loaded with potential and exciting to watch. We certainly have high hopes for what they can accomplish during their careers at Princeton, and we're eager to get to work with them on the field and help them make the transition to college lacrosse."Â

Marge Donovan, 5-10, Defense, Catonsville, Md./McDonogh
Donovan and the McDonogh Eagles went undefeated during her four years with a perfect 86-0 record. As a senior captain she caused 28 turnovers, had 10 ground balls and scored once. McDonogh won four Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland (IAAM) titles, as the top-ranked program in the nation. As a senior, Donovan was named both a US Lacrosse All-America and an Under Armour All-America, as well as IAAM all-conference. Donovan added Baltimore Sun first-team All-Metro, Varsity Sports Network Defensive Player of the Year, Howard C. Eyth Scholar-Athlete and the McDonogh School Golden Eagle Award to her resume in 2017. Donovan was also all-IAAM in soccer and indoor track. In her final soccer season, as team captain, she was named IAAM all-conference goalkeeper and won the Coaches Award. She captained the indoor track & field team as a senior as well, earning all-conference honors as she won the shot put, took second in the 500 and second in the 4x400 relay. Again, the Baltimore Sun recognized her as a second-team All-Metro selection and the Eagle Award in the sport of track and field. Donovan played club lacrosse for the Skywalkers 2017 Blue.

Sam Fish, 5-10, Goal, San Diego, Calif./Scripps Ranch
A member of the 2017 Under Armour All-America Senior Team, Fish also played in the 2014 and 2016 Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Tournament and was named all-tournament in 2016. She is a four-time first-team all-league goalie and a three-time first-team all-California Interscholastic Federation (CIF). A 2016 US Lacrosse All-America and All-Academic honoree, Fish was captain of the team her senior year when she recorded a .582 save percentage and a 6.00 goals against average. Earning her team's MVP honors twice, she capped her career with a .598 save percentage and a 6.70 GAA as the Falcons went 50-29 and won the 2016 CIF Championship San Diego section. She was selected for three Women's Division National Tournaments (WDNT) and was a 2016 WDNT HLA finalist. Fish played her club lacrosse with the Pacific Falcons and also lettered in volleyball.

Jordan Marcus, 5-7, Midfield, Richmond, Va./Collegiate
Marcus was captain of the Collegiate team her senior year when the Cougars went 16-6 and won the 2017 Independent School League (ISL) Championship. A US Lacrosse All-America, Marcus is a three-time all-conference selection and twice earned Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association (VISSA) Division I second-team all-state honors before a first-team distinction in 2017. She was selected as the team's MVP as a senior. Marcus is also a five-year letterwinner in basketball and four-year letterwinner in field hockey, captaining both programs. She was named all-league and all-state in field hockey in 2016 and won the VISSA state championship in 2013. Marcus won the Reed Athletic Award at Collegiate's graduation for contribution to the athletic department. She played her club lacrosse for Capital Lacrosse Club.

Morgan Mills, 5-8, Midfield/Defense, Princeton, N.J./Princeton Day
A native of Princeton, Mills was a three-sport athlete at Princeton Day School, also playing basketball and captaining the cross country squad. Mills scored 50 goals and 44 assists as a senior captain when the Panthers posted a 10-4 record. She finished her prep career with 177 goals and 102 assists and led her team to three New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJISSA) All-Prep B State Championships. A three-time NJISSA selection, Mills was a two-time first-team all-prep selection by the The Trentonian and The Times of Trenton honored her in 2017 as all-prep, all-area and Player to Watch. As a junior and a senior she earned the PDS Kim Bedesem Varsity Girls Lacrosse Award, and was named the PDS 2017 Scholar-Athlete. Mills also garnered the 2017 NJISSA Jan Baker Scholar-Athlete award. Mills played club for Ultimate Goal and was on the Brine National Classic Team in 2015 and 2016 and on the Brine National All-Star Team in 2015.

Mary Murphy, 5-5, Defense, Amawalk, N.Y./Somers
Named all-section and all-league as a senior captain, Murphy helped Somers to a 66-12-2 record during her four years. The Tuskers were the 2015 New York State runners-up, two-time Section 1 champions while reaching the finals the other two season. Somers was also the regional finalists in 2014 and regional champions in 2015. Murphy is a four-time New York State Public High School Scholar-Athlete and earned her school's Mary Ball Memorial Distinguished Athlete Award. She was also a four-year starter of the soccer team and was captain as a senior. She was a three-time all-league selection, guiding the squad to the 2014 New York State championship, 2015 Section 1 championships and the 2016 Section 1 finals. Murphy played in the 2016 US Lacrosse Women's National Tournament as a member of the Hudson Valley Regional Team. She played club lacrosse for the Hudson Valley Hurricanes and the Metro Magic.

Olivia Pugh, 5-5, Defense, Alexandria, Va./St. Stephen's and St. Agnes
A three-sport athlete at St. Stephen's and St. Agnes, Pugh helped the lacrosse team to a four-year record of 110-6. She totaled 148 ground balls, 145 draws, 59 caused turnovers, 19 goals and 11 assists. During her senior year, when she was team captain, she claimed 82 draws, 73 ground balls, 33 caused turnovers and three points. Pugh is a two-time Independent School League (ISL) selection and first-team all-state (Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association). In 2016 she was named both a US Lacrosse All-America and All-Academic, and she captured Washington Post second-team all-metro honors in 2017. The Saints were three-time ISL regional season and tournament champions, 2016 VISAA state champions and two-time state runners-up. Pugh was also a four-year member and three-year captain of the indoor track & field team. She won three state titles in the 4x800 and was state runner-up in the fourth year to earn five all-state honors. In field hockey, Pugh was captain as a senior and helped the team to four ISL regional season and tournament championships. She was a two-time all-ISL, three-time all-state and Washington Post first-team all-metro selection. In 2017, she won the St. Stephen's and St. Agnes Outstanding Athlete, the Silver Bowl Award given for participation in 12 seasons of athletics. In 2016, she was awarded the John Morrow Stanton Memorial Athletic Award, given to the member of the junior class for excellence achieved through dedication, leadership and character. Pugh played club for Capital Lacrosse Club, the 2016 Washington D.C. Under Armour Highlight Team and the 2015 HLA U18 Scotland Team.

Kyla Sears, 5-4, Midfield, Skaneateles, N.Y./Skaneateles
The 2017 US Lacrosse National Player of the Year, Sears is a three-time US Lacrosse All-America and an Under Armour All-America. She was a tryout invitee for the USA Under-19 Team. A five-year letterwinner at Skaneateles, Sears finished her high school career with 282 goals, 138 assists and 244 ground balls. As a senior captain she totaled 65 goals, 35 assists and 69 ground balls and was named the MVP of the New York State Championship game, as she and the Lakers won their second state championship in three years. Skaneateles was also three-time New York State runners-up with Sears, and five-time Section III champions. Sears was named a preseason first-team All-America by Inside Lacrosse, and was the magazine's 2015 #1 Young Gun Junior. A three-time American Family Insurance All-USA preseason first-team selection, she was on the 2014 Under Armour Upstate team, and participated in the 2014 Elite 120 and 2015 Nike Ride. Additionally, Sears was the 2017 Nike Northeast Player of the Year, three-time first-team all-league, 2017 Auburn Citizen Player of the Year and a three-time all-star by the newspaper, as well as three-time all-Central New York. Sears was also an all-league player in soccer and played club lacrosse for Outlaw Ladies, Lady Roc and Akwesasne Attack.
