Princeton faces its second of three New Jersey opponents this season when it takes on No. 21 ranked Fairleigh Dickinson on Saturday, Sept. 23. Game time is at 7 p.m., in Teaneck, N.J.
The Tigers played to a 1-1 draw at Boston University earlier in the week to move to 0-3-2. All three of Princeton's losses have been one goal losses, two in the final minute of play. Junior Jeremy Colvin moved into the leading scorer position with two goals and one assists while senior James Reiner has scored twice. Freshman Frankie DeRosa has one goal, while senior Daniel Bowkett adds two assists. The Tigers have more shots on goal than their opponents, 30-27. Sophomore Jacob Schachner has played every minute in goal and has a 1.43 GAA and a .704 save percentage.
Princeton holds a 16-8-2 edge in the all-time series with FDU, that dates back to 1987. The Tigers are 6-4 when playing in Teaneck and have won the last two meetings by a 4-1 score in 2015 and a 3-1 score last year.
With a 5-1-1 record, FDU is ranked No. 21 in the latest United Soccer Coaches national poll. After starting the season 5-0, FDU tied NJIT last Saturday and then lost a 2-1 game against Rider on Tuesday. The squad is outscoring its opponents 14-7, while the opponents have had more shots per game 13.4-10. Fredinho Mompremier has scored four goals and has two assists for 10 points. Ahu Obhakhan has also net four goals and has one helper for nine points. Jacob Labovitz and Daniel Lasarte add seven and six points, respectively. The team has split goalkeeping duties between Tiago Capela and Sebastian Ferreira. Capela is 2-1-1 with a 1.15 GAA and an .829 save percentage, while Ferreira is 2-0 with a 0.50 GAA and an .667 save percentage.
