Cover Boy - Two Magazines Call Tom Schreiber The Best In The World
January 04, 2018 | Men's Lacrosse
Tom Schreiber was a three-time first-team All-America selection when he played at Princeton. Now he's a two-time Best Player In the World selection.
Schreiber, who has gone from Princeton to dominate professionally both indoors and outdoors, currently appears on the covers of both Inside Lacrosse and US Lacrosse magazines, both of which proclaim him to be the best player in the world.
It's easy to make the case in favor of Schreiber. He is the two-time reigning Major League Lacrosse Most Valuable Player, and he led the Ohio Machine to the MLL championship last summer. In the winter he plays for the Toronto Rock in the indoor National Lacrosse League, and he was the league Rookie of the Year a year ago, despite having no real indoor background and despite being an American field player.
While at Princeton, Schreiber became the highest scoring midfielder in program history, with 200 career points (106G, 94A) before graduating in 2014. In addition to his pro success, he is also in the running for a spot on the U.S. National team for this summer's World Championships.
The US Lacrosse cover can be seen HERE.
The Inside Lacrosse cover features two versions of Schreiber, one in his Toronto Rock uniform and one in his Ohio Machine uniform. The cover, and how Inside Lacrosse produced it, can be seen HERE.
