No. 12 Princeton Travels To St. Francis-Brooklyn Tomorrow

PRINCETON, N.J. – The No. 12 Princeton Tigers head on the road to battle the St. Francis-Brooklyn Terriers in a Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) matchup at the St. Francis College Aquatic Center on Wednesday night (Oct. 3).
The contest will get underway at 7:30 p.m., and be streamed online here. The Tigers are 9-3 overall and 2-1 in the NWPC while St. Francis is 3-9 this season, but 3-1 in the conference.
Princeton dropped MIT (14-7) and Brown (16-11) last Saturday at DeNunzio Pool before a tough double-overtime loss to No. 7 Harvard (13-12) on Sunday. The Crimson sit at the top with a 3-0 record, followed by the Terriers and the Tigers. St. Francis-Brooklyn earned a 17-7 decision over Iona last Wednesday before picking up a 12-10 victory over Brown on Saturday. The Terriers fell to Harvard, 15-14, but rebounded with a 12-9 win over MIT on Sunday.
William Lapkin leads the Terriers with 24 goals and 35 points this season, followed by Diorde Stanic's 34 points (23 goals, 11 assists). St. Francis-Brooklyn has six other players with at least 10 points this season. Viktor Klauzer and Benedek Molnar have split time at goalie, posting a .410 save percentage between the two of them.
Matt Payne's 30 goals and 42 points paces the Tigers' offense so far. The senior is up to 195 goals, four shy of Thomas Nelson for seventh all-time. He also has posted 115 assists in career, recently passing Jordan Colina '18 for fourth in program history. Ryan Wilson has 39 points, securing 16 goals and 23 helpers. He is the team's all-time leader in assists with 195, 57 more than the next closest player, Eric Vreeland '10.
Five other players for head coach Dustin Livtak's group have posted at least 10 goals this season. Another standout this season includes Keller Maloney, who's contributed 15 goals, 17 assists, 17 drawn ejections and nine steals. Ryan Melosini and Billy Motherway have shared the cage, securing 130 saves and .508 save percentage combined.
After Wednesday's showdown, the Tigers will head to MIT (12 p.m.) and Harvard (7 p.m.) on Oct. 6 and then take on Brown (10 a.m.) the next day.
