Squash Teams Set For Top-4 Opponents Saturday, Home Openers Sunday
November 16, 2018 | Men's Squash, Women's Squash
Both the Princeton men's and women's squash teams will face Top-4 opponents in neutral-site showdowns on Saturday afternoon, and then they will meet back at the Jadwin Squash Courts Sunday for their 2018-19 home openers Sunday.
The third-ranked Princeton women will open play Saturday at 12 pm against fourth-ranked Stanford at the Philadelphia Cricket Club. This has become Princeton's biggest early-season test over the last couple of years, including a hard-fought 6-3 win in Jadwin last season. This should be no different, as the Cardinal come in for a busy Eastern weekend looking to cement itself as a championship contender this season.
Speaking of championship contenders, everybody is trying to take that title from the Trinity men, which will meet the Princeton Saturday at noon at the University Club in New York City. An injury-riddled Princeton team is looking for an early-season upset against the Bantams, who defeated the Tigers in the national quarterfinals last season.
Both teams return to Princeton for their Sunday home openers. The women will open against George Washington at 1 pm, while the men will follow with a 3 pm match against the Colonials.
