
Four Tigers Named All-Ivy League

PRINCETON, N.J. (3/1/18) - Four members of the Princeton men's hockey team were named All-Ivy League it was announced by the Ivy League office this afternoon.
Junior defender Josh Teves earns his second consecutive first-team All-Ivy League honor. He leads the Princeton defenders in scoring with 23 points on four goals and 19 assists in 24 games played. He led the league's defenders in scoring with eight points in eight games. Twelve of his 23 points came on the power play. Heading into the playoffs Teves has 42 blocked shots, a +6 on-ice rating and has taken just three penalties. Nationally, Teves ranks third in points per game for a defender (0.96).
Junior Max Véronneau was named to the first team as well. Véronneau leads the Tigers offense with 44 points on 13 goals and 31 assists. He ranks third in the nation in scoring, averaging 1.52 points per game and leads the nation in assists, with 1.07 assists per game. Véronneau has collected nine three-point game this season including a hat trick in a 9-2 win at Dartmouth. He assisted on five game winners and score one. In the Ivy League, Véronneau tallied 17 points, eight goals and nine assists, in 10 games to lead the league.
Senior David Hallisey also led the Ivy League in scoring with 17 points, scoring seven goals and leading the league in assists with 10. He was an honorable mention selection. Hallisey is third on the team in scoring with 34 points on 16 goals and 18 assists, and ranks 17th in the nation in scoring. This season Hallisey became the first Tiger to score a goal in six straight games since 2008-09. In those six games he had nine points. He had another noteworthy game against Brown with he became the first Tiger since 2014 to have a five-point game.
Junior Ryan Kuffner was also named honorable mention All-Ivy League with 41 points which rank him fourth in the country in scoring. He is second in the nation in goals scored with 25 in 29 games and adds 16 assists. In 10 Ivy League games Kuffner collected 10 points. Kuffner is currently riding a 10-game point scoring streak and had a 16-point month in February. He net three game-winning goals and had has assists on four game winners. Kuffner is a +18 and has two hat tricks this season.
As the No. 7 seed in the ECAC Hockey Tournament, the Tigers host No. 10 seed Brown in a best-of-three ECAC Hockey First-Round series this weekend at Hobey Baker Rink.
