Princeton to Face Ohio State at NCAA Midwest Regional

The 2018 ECAC Hockey Champion Princeton will take on Ohio State in the NCAA Midwest Regional in Allentown, Pa. Game day is Saturday, March 24 at 3:30 p.m., and will be aired live on ESPNU.
As the fourth seed the Tigers face the region's top seed in Ohio State at the PPL Center. The other game at the regional features No. 2 Denver and No. 3 Penn State squaring off at 7 p.m.. The regional final will be Sunday, March 25 at 6:30 p.m.
The other three Regionals will take place in the West in Sioux Falls, S.D., the East in Bridgeport, Conn., and the Northeast in Worcester, Mass.
The Tigers are making their fourth NCAA Tournament appearance, having appeared in 1998, 2008 and 2009. Princeton punched its ticket to the NCAAs with a 2-1 overtime win over Clarkson in the ECAC title game last night in Lake Placid. The Tigers, seeded seventh in the ECAC Tournament, defeated the No. 1, 2 and 3 seeds along the way and are on an eight-game unbeaten streak.
Princeton and Ohio State have meet three times, in 1971, 1986 and 2003 with the Buckeyes winning all three meetings.
Three of Princeton's opponents are in the tournament this season with Cornell facing BU in the Northeast, Clarkson vs. Providence in the East and St. Cloud - the No. 1 overall seed takes on Air Force in the West.
The NCAA Frozen Four will be held at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn., on April 5 & 7.
