Sears & McNulty Named All-Region

Princeton freshman attacker Kyla Sears and senior midfielder Ellie McNulty were both named all-region it was announced by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) this afternoon.
Sears leads the Tigers in scoring with 78 points on 60 goals and 18 assists in 17 games. She leads the nation's freshmen in scoring averaging 4.59 points per game, which ranks her 20th in the nation in point per game overall. Sears has had at least one point in every game this season and has collected at least a hat trick in 13 of 17 games. Her 60 goals this season ranks second in Princeton history for goals in a single season. She holds the Princeton and Ivy League record for points and goals by a freshman. An first-team all-Ivy League and Ivy League All-Tournament selection, Sears is now eligible for inclusion for the IWLCA All-America teams.
McNulty is fourth on the team in scoring with 36 points with 28 goals and eight assists. She is second on the team in draws with 59, the third most in a single season in Princeton history. With 115 career draws, McNulty ranks fifth all-time at Princeton. A first-team All-Ivy League and All-Tournament selection, McNulty is also second on the team in caused turnovers with 14 and third in ground balls with 27.
Princeton won both the Ivy League regular-season and tournament championship this year. The Tigers face Syracuse in the first round of the NCAA Tournament today at 4 p.m., at Boston College.
