Kuffner, Teves and Veronneau Named to ECAC Hockey Pre-Season Team
September 18, 2018 | Men's Ice Hockey
Six months removed from hoisting the Whitelaw Cup as ECAC Hockey champions, the Princeton Tigers find themselves occupying half of the selections on the 2018-19 pre-season all-league team.
With a 12-team league and only six places on the all-league team it shows that the Tigers have the attention of the head coaches in the league.

"It is a great honor to be recognized and is a testament to the year we had a team last year," Teves, who will act as team captain this year, said. "However, we cannot rest on any past success. We are all looking forward to working hard and making a long run to the national championship."
All-America forwards last year Kuffner and Véronneau are on the national radar again this year. They were a part of one of the top two scoring lines in the nation, along with linemate Alex Riche, battling the Northeastern line of Hobey Baker recipient Adam Gaudette and Dylan Sikura.
Véronneau led Princeton in scoring with 55 points in 36 games and was second in the nation in points per game at 1.53 ppg. He was also the national leader in assists per game with 1.06 apg. He currently has 107 career points, ranking him 10th all-time at Princeton.
Kuffner was right behind with 52 points and was fifth in the nation in points per game with 1.55 ppg and was second in the nation in goals per game, averaging 0.81 gpg. Kuffner has 108 career points, sitting ninth on the all-time Princeton career scoring list.
Teves led the nation's defenseman in points per game averaging 1.06 ppg with 33 points in 31 games. Overall he ranked 27th among all skaters. He currently is seventh in Princeton history in points in a career by a defenseman with 63.
All three skaters contribute on the Princeton power play, which finished first in the nation last year, converting on 27.7 percent of its chances.
The ECAC Hockey pre-season coaches poll, and media poll will each be released tomorrow, ranking each of the 12 teams in order of projected finish.Â
