Schrage Splits Matches at ITA All-America

Princeton sophomore Stephanie Schrage won her prequalifying first-round match at the Riviera/ITA All-America Championship in Los Angeles Saturday.
Schrage defeated Kansas' No. 106-ranked Nina Khmelnitckaia 7-5, 6-3 before falling in her round-of-32 match against LSU's Kennan Johnson, 2-6, 6-1, 7-5. Johnson knocked off Duke's 84th-ranked Kaitlyn McCarthy before defeating Schrage and moving on to the round of 16. Johnson will face Oklahoma's Martina Capurro Taborda Sunday for a berth in the qualifying draw.
