Tigers Wrap Up Split-Squad Events Hosted by Alabama, Loyola

Ten Tigers were split between Long Island and Alabama for events that wrapped up Tuesday.
At the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate at the Old Overton Golf Club in Vestavia Hills, Ala., Princeton, at +57, tied for 10th led by Evan Quinn, who tied for 27th overall at +6. BYU and Colorado State shared team title honors at -17, four strokes better than Auburn. Colorado State's Parathakorn Suyasri won medalist honors at -11 by a stroke over Minnesota's Angus Flanagan.
Improving their score each day, the five Tigers at Loyola's (Md.) Hamptons Intercollegiate, held at the Maidstone Club in East Hampton, N.Y., finished sixth as a team with Jake Mayer leading the way in fourth place. A trio of Oregon State players were in the top three spots, with Shawn Lu winning at +4 by a stroke over Spencer Tibbits and Carson Barry. Mayer was two strokes off the lead at +6.
Fueled by its top trio, Oregon State won at +26 by 32 strokes over host Loyola with Princeton at +69.
