November 18, 2019 | Women's Lacrosse
The Princeton women's lacrosse team will be led by three senior captains as it competes for a seventh-straight Ivy League championship in 2020.
Â
Annie Cory, Tess D'Orsi and Katie Reilly have been named the 2020 captains, head coach Chris Sailer has announced.
Â
"The role of captain is so important in our program," Sailer said. "I'm very happy to have these three seniors step into this role. Annie, Tess and Katie bring such strong work ethic, drive and teamwork to Princeton women's lacrosse. We're very excited to have them lead our team this season."
Cory, a midfielder from Charlottesville, Va., missed the 2018 season due to an injury. She has played in 37 career games, with 21 goals, two assists, 23 ground balls, eight draw controls and eight caused turnovers. She is also the co-president of the Student-Athlete Service Council and a member of the Student Athlete Wellness Leaders.
Â
D'Orsi, an attacker from Sudbury, Mass., enters her senior year sixth all-time at Princeton with 144 career goals and 10th all-time with 187 points. Her 64 goals a year ago tie her for the second-best single-season total in program history, and she was named to the Tewaraaton Award watch list and a second-team All-Ivy League and second-team All-Region selection. She has been named to an All-Ivy team each of her first three years.
Â
Reilly, an attacker from Huntington Station, N.Y., played in 11 games a year ago, scoring goals against Penn State and against Wagner in the NCAA tournament and adding an assist. Reilly, who had an impressive fall season, is also a core member of the Wounded Tigers Network for injured athletes.

Princeton opens the 2020 season Feb. 15 at Temple.
