Men's Hockey Arrives In Belfast Ahead Of Friendship Four

BELFAST -- The Princeton University men's ice hockey team has arrived in Northern Ireland ahead of the 2019 Friendship Four which begins on Friday as the Tigers take on Colgate at SSE Arena.Â
While the task at hand gets closer and closer, the Tigers are taking the opportunity to embrace the culture of Northern Ireland with sightseeing and cultural exchanges in the early days of the trip.
After the journey across the Atlantic, the team arrived at its host hotel -- The Titanic Hotel -- where the infamous cruise ship and its sister ship, the Olympia -- were built. On Tuesday, the team took in the true sights and sounds of Belfast with a visit to Royal Portrush Golf Club -- the site of the 2019 British Open. In addition, the team stepped into television history with a visit to the set of Game of Thrones which counted Northern Ireland as one its homes during its legendary HBO run.
Wednesday's activities included a trip to local elementary schools to visit with young children and immerse in the Irish culture as the Tigers participated in Irish dancing, Gaelic football, hurling and more.
With Friday's faceoff against the Red Raiders inching closer and closer, the focus will begin to shift towards the task at hand with practice and prep for the opening round of the Friendship Four.
