Harmeling '12 Takes One Step Closer to PGA Tour

Evan Harmeling '12 has taken one step closer to the PGA Tour as he has qualified for the Korn Ferry Tour, from which the top 25 players on the money list at the end of each year gain admission to the PGA Tour.
Harmeling has been playing on the PGA Tour Latinoamérica since 2017, moving up the Order of Merit list at the end of each year from 135th in 2017 to 18th in 2018 and now fourth at the end of 2019 with the top five players on the Order of Merit getting the chance to compete in the Korn Ferry Tour. Harmeling earned his first victory on the PGA Tour Latinoamérica tour this year, winning the BMW Jamaica Classic in May.
Last November, Harmeling made news on the tour by donating to his caddie a car he won by making a hole in one at the Visa Open de Argentina, and in June 2013, he donated his winner's check from the Massachusetts Open to the One Boston Fund in support of the victims of the Boston Marathon bombing two months earlier.
The 2020 Korn Ferry Tour will begin Jan. 12-15 in the Bahamas, the first of 28 events continuing through the last weekend of August.
