Véronneau and Teves Named Senior Class All-Americans

Princeton seniors Max Véronneau and Josh Teves have been named Senior CLASS Award All-Americans as the award winner and teams were announced today.
Véronneau is a mechanical engineer major and twice been named to the ECAC Hockey All-Academic Team. An assistant captain of the Princeton hockey team this past season, Véronneau finished second on the team in scoring with 13 goals and a team-high 24 assists for 37 points to rank ninth in the nation in points per game at 1.19 ppg. He was second-team All-ECAC and second-team All-Ivy League.
A member of the Ottawa Senators, Veronneau played 12 games this season, his first just five days after concluding his collegiate career. He had two goals and two assists, playing on the Senators top line and power play.
A first-team All-American as a junior when Princeton won the ECAC Hockey Championship, Véronneau was the nation's leader in assists per game while also finishing third in the nation in points per game with 1.53 ppg, with 55 points in 36 games. A two-time nominee for the Hobey Baker Award, Véronneau finished his Princeton career ranked fourth all-time in scoring with 143 points (52 goals, 92 assists). He is second all-time in Princeton history in career assists and holds the school record for assists in a season with 38 from the 2017-18 season. Veronneau also is the record holder for points in a season with 54 from 2017-18.
A mechanical engineer major, Teves led the nation's defenseman in points per game last season, averaging 1.06 points per game with 33 points in 31 games. The team captain this year he earned third-team ECAC and second-team All-Ivy League honors and was a candidate for the Hockey Humanitarian Award. He led the Tigers' defensemen in scoring in three of his four seasons including a 20-point effort this year. He holds the Princeton record for assists by a defenseman with 69, which ranks ninth amongst all skaters. Teves is second in the records book for points in a career with 85 and has the single-season record for assists with 26 from the 2017-18 season.
A member of the Vancouver Canucks, Teves made his NHL debut on March 26.

An acronym for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School®, the Senior CLASS Award focuses on the total student-athlete and encourages students to use their platform in athletics to make a positive impact as leaders in their communities. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be classified as an NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence: classroom, community, character and competition.
