George Captures Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week

Princeton senior attacker Elizabeth George has been named the Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week.
George led Princeton as the Tigers went 2-0 defeating No. 10 Loyola and grabbing an important Ivy League win over Harvard. She scored six goals and three assists, added six draw controls and caused one turnover.
On Saturday with her first draw control, George became the all-time Princeton record holder for draw controls with 154. She assisted on Princeton's opening goal and added a goal and an assist in the second half.
On Tuesday she scored the game's first two goals a four of Princeton's seven goals as the Tigers took a 7-1 lead over Loyola. She added another two points with a goal and an assist in the second half and had four draws.
Senior defender Nonie Andersen was named honorable mention after an incredible defensive effort. On Tuesday she won 40 percent of Princeton's draws in a win over Loyola, and then had a career game with 10 draws versus Harvard. In addition she caused two turnovers and had two ground balls.
Princeton battles Penn on Wednesday night at 6 p.m., at Franklin Field. The game will be televised nationally on ESPNU.
