Kyla Sears had a 13-point week as Princeton went 2-0 defeating No. 12 Penn and Yale in a span of four days in back-to-back road wins to be named this week's Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week.
Sears scored eight goals and added five assists while recording her 100th career goal at Yale on Saturday. She scored on eight of her nine shots on goal for an 81.8 SOG percentage.
On Wednesday at Penn she led all players with six points, scoring twice and added four assists. She set up the game-winning goal at 3:50 of the second feeding Elizabeth George on a man-down goal. In the first half she had two goals and two assists as Penn took an 8-7 edge into the locker room. She set up George to tie the game at 8-8 to start the second and then set her up again for the game winner.
On Saturday at Yale, Sears again led all players offensively with six goals and one assist. Her six goals matched a personal best as she delivered a highlight reel behind-the-back goal in the first half. Sears had a hat trick in the first 19 minutes including the eventual game-winner.
Princeton has clinched a spot in the 2019 Ivy League Tournament with one conference game remaining - a Saturday afternoon game at Cornell.
