Pat March To Serve As Atlanta Blaze Offensive Coordinator For The Summer

Pat March will go from coaching a Tewaaraton Award finalist at Princeton to Major League Lacrosse for the summer and then back to Princeton in the fall.
March, Princeton's offensive coordinator, will be assuming the same position for the Atlanta Blaze of Major League Lacrosse for the season, which begins the first weekend in June and runs into September.
"This is a great opportunity for Pat," said Princeton head coach Matt Madalon. "It's a chance to work with the pros and then to bring what he learns there back with him to Princeton in the fall. We're all very excited for him."
March has been Princeton's offensive coordinator for the last three years. During that time, Princeton has averaged 14 goals per game and finished second, third and 11th in scoring offense in Division I.
"Pat March is one of the brightest young offensive minds in lacrosse," Blaze head coach Liam Banks said in a release on the team's official site. "He brings a fresh look to the Atlanta Blaze that will help generate more goals for our team."
March has also coached Princeton's career leader in points in Michael Sowers, who has 255 through three years. The Tewaaraton finalist also has Princeton's top three single-season scoring totals, all under March's leadership.
Beyond Sowers, March has also coached Princeton's single-season goals record-holder (Gavin McBride, 54 in 2017), the Division I leader in shooting percentage (Phillip Robertson in 2018) and the only active player in Division I with at least 20 career games played and one goal in every game of his career (Chris Brown). March also saw Emmet Cordrey go from 13 points his first three years combined to 49 this past year, on 30 goals and 19 assists.
"I have known Pat for many years," said Spencer Ford, Blaze assistant coach. "It was clear at a young age that he would follow in his dad's footprints and become a coach. He has an incredible system at Princeton and will be bringing a similar style to the Blaze. Pat sees the game at a very high level."
