Trio Of Women's Lacrosse Players Named Inside Lacrosse Preseason All-American

PRINCETON – A trio of Princeton University women's lacrosse players have been named Inside Lacrosse Preseason All-Americans as the Tigers begin preparation for the 2020 season.
Junior defender Marge Donovan leads the group with her selection as a second-team Preseason All-American. She is joined by classmates Kyla Sears (attack) and Sam Fish (goalkeeper) who were each named third-team Preseason All-American.
The Tigers' three preseason All-American selections by Inside Lacrosse lead the Ivy League and are tied for No. 5 among Division I programs.
An honorable mention Inside Lacrosse All-American last season, Marge Donovan is a two-time All-Ivy selection in her first two seasons with the Tigers. Last year, she finished with 43 ground balls and 28 caused turnovers.
A second-team IWLCA All-American and a third-team Inside Lacrosse All-American in 2019, Kyla Sears had 95 points last season as she scored 55 goals and dished 40 assists for the Ivy League champions. Already a well-decorated player, she has earned All-American honors each of her first two seasons and is a two-time first-team All-Region and first-team All-Ivy selection who has twice appeared on the Tewaaraton Award Watch List.
The 2019 Ivy League Goalkeeper of the Year and honorable mention All-American, Sam Fish went 16-4 in the cage last season, including a 7-3 mark against ranked opponents. She earned a spot on the Tewaaraton Award Watch List last season to go with first-team All-Region honors.
Princeton, ranked No. 6 in both the Nike/US Lacrosse and Inside Lacrosse Preseason Polls, opens its 2020 season on February 20 at Temple.
