No. 11 Men's Volleyball Downs Harvard, 3-0

PRINCETON, N.J. – The No. 11 Princeton University men's volleyball team continued its stellar play Saturday evening, taking down Harvard University 3-0 (25-20, 26-24, 25-17).
Senior George Huhmann led the Tigers with a match-high 14 kills along with two service aces while junior Joe Kelly handed out a match-high 38 assists. Freshman Nico Posivak added seven digs to tie for the match-high while senior Greg Luck led Princeton in blocks with two.
The Tigers took control early in the opening set; ahead 3-2, a Crimson service error led off a 5-0 run that also featured a Harvard bad set, a kill by freshman James Hartley, a Kelly kill and a Luck service ace that put the Tigers on top 8-2. The set continued largely as a back-and-forth battle until Princeton closed the set out on a 3-0 run thanks to a Huhmann kill, a Crimson attacking error and a sophomore Jerod Nelsen service ace as Princeton took the set, 25-20.
While the second set started off 2-2, the Tigers used a 4-0 run that featured a Harvard service error, a kill by Kelly, a kill by Luck and a block by Luck that saw Princeton take a 6-2 lead. The Crimson were able to battle back and knot the score at 24-24, but a kill by freshman Alexander Mrkalj and Nelsen saw the Tigers prevail 26-24.
Harvard was able to take an early 3-2 lead in the third set, but Princeton put the set out of reach early thanks to a 6-0 run sparked by a Huhmann kill and also featuring kills by Hartley and Luck along with a Nelsen service ace, a Crimson attacking error and a Kelly kill that gave Princeton and 8-3 advantage. The Tigers never looked back, holding on for the 25-17 win.
