ECAC Update On Adjustments To Quarterfinal Round
ALBANY, N.Y. - ECAC Hockey announced today changes to its men's quarterfinals pairings, to be held March 13-15. The changes follow decisions by two of its members, Harvard University
and Yale University, to withdraw from post-season competition in light of their respective University's decisions regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19).
The elimination of Harvard and Yale from competition results in re-seeding of the championship quarterfinals as follows:
No. 1-seed Cornell and No. 2-seed Clarkson will receive byes to the championship weekend.
The remaining quarterfinal series this weekend will be played on the following campus sites and spectators will not be permitted.:
Friday, March 13 - Sunday, March 15 (Three-Game Series)
No. 11 Princeton at No. 3 Quinnipiac: 7 pm / 7 pm / 4 pm (if necessary)
No. 8 Colgate at No. 4 RPI (7 pm / 7 pm / 5 pm (if necessary)

TIGERS SWEEP DARTMOUTH IN ROUND ONE
After going 1-3-4 in overtime games during the regular season, Princeton won a pair of overtime contests at Dartmouth last weekend to sweep away the Big Green. On Friday night, the Tigers thrice rallied for a goal down -- eventually tying the game with a Finn Evans goal at the 17:15 mark of the third period to force overtime. In OT, Reid Yochim finished a 3-on-2 3:36 in to secure the win. Saturday night saw the Tigers build a 4-1 lead in the third period before Dartmouth stormed back to tie the game with 2.3 seconds remaining. Mark Paolini was the hero for Princeton, scoring a PPG 10:55 into overtime.
CHAMPIONSHIP PEDIGREE
Princeton has won three ECAC Championships in program history. Princeton's most recent ECAC title came in 2018. Princeton will feature 10 players from that 2018 team this weekend, including seniors Jeremy Germain and Liam Grande who assisted on Max Becker's game-winning goal in overtime against Clarkson.
ANDONOVSKI ACTIVATED
Sophomore Corey Andonovski is second on the team in points (19) over 26 games this season. He has six multi-point games this season and has notched 10 points over his last 14 games. He returned to the lineup in the regular season finale after missing the previous four games.
LUCKY LUKE
Luke Keenan has 15 points over his last 17 games dating back to 12/29/19 at Quinnipiac, well surpassing the three points he had in his first 14 games of the season. Against St. Lawrence on 2/14/20, Keenan had a career-high four points with two goals and two helpers.
POWERING UP
Princeton has scored a power-play goal in 13 of its last 22 games, scoring 19 total PPGs since the UNH game in Belfast. The Tigers now have at least one PPG in 18-of-31 games this season. Derek Topatigh is tied for the team lead with five power-play goals -- ranking No. 5 in the country in power-play goals by a defenseman. He is joined by Liam Grande who also has five while Corey Andonovski and Christian O'Neill each have three. Spencer Kersten and Mark Paolini each have two. Overall, 10 different players have scored at least one PPG for the Tigers.
Overall this season, Princeton is 25-for-114 on the powerplay (21.9%) which ranks No. 16 in the country and No. 4 in the ECAC. Cornell is 32-for-121 (26.4%) which ranks No. 5. Last weekend, Princeton was 3-for-9 on the PP at Dartmouth.
PK BATTLE
Cornell is No. 48 in the country on the PK, killing 75-of-96 penalties (78.1Â Â Â %). Princeton is No. 42 on the PK, killing 104-of-131 (79.4%). The Tigers were 6-for-6 on the PK at Union, with Finn Evans tallying a short-handed goal. Last Friday, they were 4-for-4 against Yale. Princeton has four short-handed goals this season which is most in the ECAC and tied for No. 11 in the country.The Tigers were 7-for-8 on the PK last weekend against Dartmouth.
PAOLINI PAYING OFF
Defenseman Mark Paolini went 11 games without a point from 11/2/19-1/3/20, but has nine points in his last 15 games -- including the OTGWG to advance the Tigers last weekend.
