Three Men's Ice Hockey Alums In NHL Training Camps Ahead of 2020-21 Season

As National Hockey League training camps open this week, three Tigers are on training camp rosters with two more working in coaching or management roles with NHL organizations.

Eric Robinson '18 looks to follow up on a breakout 2019-20 season with the Columbus Blue Jackets as he enters his third full season as a pro. Last year, he played in 50 games with Columbus, finishing with 12 points (7g-5a). In the playoffs, he skated in 10 games with one goal.

Taylor Fedun '11 enters his eighth season in the NHL and his third with the Dallas Stars. He has played in 127 career NHL games with eight goals and 27 assists. Last season, he played in 27 regular season games with the Stars, tallying nine points (2g-7a). In the playoffs, he appeared in 11 games before an injury sidelined him during Dallas' run to the Stanley Cup Final.

Josh Teves '19 is in training camp with the Vancouver Canucks. After appearing in one game with the Canucks at the conclusion of the 2018-19 season, Teves spent most of last year with Vancouver's AHL affiliate in Utica where he played in 29 games.

Jeff Halpern '99 returns behind the bench with the defending Stanley Cup champion Tampa Bay Lightning where he is in his third season as an assistant coach following a 976-game career as a player.

Brent Flahr '96 is in his third season as Vice President and Assistant General Manager with the Philadelphia Flyers and his 24th season overall working in the NHL. In 2007, Flahr was a scout for the Anaheim Ducks during a Stanley Cup championship season.

Chris Patrick '98 is in his 12th season with the Washington Capitals and fifth as Director of Player Personnel – a role he held during the Capitals' Stanley Cup championship in 2018.

Max Veronneau '19 signed with Oskarshamn IK in the Swedish Hockey League. He played in four games last season with the Ottawa Senators while also splitting time between Ottawa's AHL affiliate in Belleville and the Toronto Marlies following a deadline trade to the Maple Leafs.

Andrew Calof '14 signed with the Vaxjo Lakers in the Swedish Hockey League where he has 19 points in 17 games

Ryan Kuffner '19 signed with Ingolstadt ERC in the German Elite League. He spent last season with the Grand Rapids Griffins and Bakersfield Condors in the AHL.

Liam Grande '20 signed with Alfta GIF in Sweden's Second Division where he has five goals and an assist in three games.

Jordan Fogarty '20 signed with Virserums SGF in Sweden's Third Division, and he led the team in scoring with 11 goals and 19 points before the league paused play.

Derek Topatigh '20 had signed with the Brampton Beast of the ECHL before the Beast opted out of the 20-21 season. Recently, Topatigh signed with the Macon Mayhem of the SPHL where he has two assists in three games.

Jackson Cressey '20 had signed with the Reading Royals in the ECHL before the Royals opted out of the 2020-21 season.

Mike Moore '08 is in his fifth season with the Fischtown Penguins in the German Elite League and his 13th season as a pro which included a stint with the San Jose Sharks.

Steve Slaton '04 is playing for EG Diez-Limburg in Germany's Third Division where he has 12 points in 16 games during his 14th professional season in Germany.
