Strong Play Continues for Women's Tennis at 2021 ITA Super Regionals

PRINCETON, N.J. – Members of the Princeton University women's tennis team will take up three out of the four finalist spots at the 2021 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Women's Northeastern Super Regional Championships, following another strong day for the Tigers Sunday at the Lenz Tennis Center.
Juniors Daria Frayman and Grace Joyce earned a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Maria Adiaconitel and Lauren Stein of Cornell in the doubles quarterfinals, then earned a spot in the final after overcoming Pennsylvania's No. 58 Marija Curnic and Iulia Bryzgalova in the semifinals, 6-1, 6-2. In the final, Frayman and Joyce will take on Yale's Chelsea Kung and Jessie Gong.
In singles, freshman Victoria Hu advanced to the final after a 6-2, 6-1 victory over No. 11 Viktoriya Kanapatskaya of Syracuse, while Frayman defeated senior No. 102 Brianna Shvets 6-1, 6-3 to move on to the final. It will be an all-Princeton singles final, with Hu taking on Frayman.
