Final Round is Best for Men's Golf Team at Hamptons

Scores dropped from round to round for the Princeton men's golf team at the Hamptons Intercollegiate, which wrapped Tuesday at Maidstone Club in East Hampton, N.Y.
Tuesday saw the resumption of play for the tournament's second round, in which Princeton turned in a 303 after a first-round 319. The Tigers then topped that in the third round with a 289. Tuesday's play also saw Connor Belcastro, who co-led Princeton at the event with Max Ting card an eagle on the par-five 16th hole.
Georgia Tech, Virginia and Northwestern shared the team title at -4 with Liberty fourth at +1. Virginia's Chris Fosdick won the individual title at -7, one stroke in front of Georgia Tech's Ross Steelman.

The Tigers will compete next at the Howard Invitational at Woodmont Country Club in Rockville, Md., Oct. 16-17.
