Princeton Unveils 2021 Men's Soccer Schedule

Princeton announced its 2021 men's soccer schedule, officially embarking on a 17-game slate with the season-opener on September 3 against Rutgers at home.
"To say we are excited to get the 2021 season underway is an understatement," said head coach Jim Barlow. "There is a tremendous amount of energy inside our group as we get closer and closer to putting on Princeton uniforms again. We expect to be as competitive as ever on September 3 and look forward to every opportunity to secure three points this season."
The Tigers will call Sherrerd Field at 1952 Stadium home this season with construction underway on the new Roberts Stadium. Overall, Princeton will play nine home matches while venturing on the road eight times.
In addition to the home opener against Garden State rival Rutgers, other featured home opponents include 2021 NCAA Tournament qualifiers Penn State (Sept. 25, 4 p.m.) and Fordham (Oct. 26, 8 p.m.) as well as 2019 NCAA Tournament teams St. John's (Sept. 28, 8 p.m.) and Yale (Nov. 13, 4 p.m.)
Princeton's first road match of 2021 is a trip to Vermont on September 7 with the next road contest coming on September 12 at Colgate.
Ivy League play commences on October 2 with a trip to Hanover to take on Dartmouth and a subsequent road trip the next weekend to Brown. The Tigers' first home Ancient Eight game of 2021 is set for October 16 against Columbia.

Are there any restrictions related to COVID-19?
Princeton University announced that beginning on August 1, 2021 indoor and outdoor gatherings will be permitted on campus and that those events may include visitors in addition to University personnel. We are excited to welcome our passionate fan base back to Princeton Athletics events.
Will there be any face covering requirements at Princeton Athletics events?
As of July 4, 2021, face coverings are no longer required on campus, indoors or outdoors. Similarly, Social distancing is no longer required indoors or outdoors. The occupancy limits imposed for public health purposes are no longer needed. All guests, regardless of their vaccination status, should take the steps they feel appropriate to protect themselves while attending an event that could include unvaccinated people.
