Pair of National Top-Five Matches This Weekend for Men's Squash Team

A pair of top-five opponents are ahead this weekend for the No. 3-ranked Princeton men's squash team during a two-match trip to Connecticut this weekend.

Princeton (4-1, 1-1 Ivy) split its league-opening series last weekend in Jadwin, sweeping No. 11 Dartmouth 9-0 before coming up just a match short against No. 2 Harvard, 5-4.
Against Yale, Princeton won the last meeting 5-4 in Jadwin in 2020. Yale's last win in the series came in 2019 at Yale, 6-3. The Bulldogs have won the last three in New Haven since Princeton's win in the CSA team tournament in 2013. The Bulldogs are 6-0 (2-0 Ivy) heading into the weekend, and Princeton and Yale have had one common opponent both have faced already this season in Virginia, which Yale defeated 6-3 and Princeton defeated 5-4, a week apart in November.
Against Trinity, the Bantams (8-0) have a five-match win streak in the series since Princeton's last win in 2017, which came in Jadwin Gym. Trinity will be putting a 13-match home winning streak against Princeton on the line since the Tigers' last win over Trinity in Hartford in 1993. Princeton and Trinity have one common opponent each has already faced this season, with the Tigers defeating Rochester 9-0 in December and Trinity winning 6-3 just on Tuesday.
Following the Nutmeg State trip, Princeton will have its last full Ivy weekend, heading to Cornell on Jan. 28 before hosting Columbia on Jan. 30.
