Princeton has announced it will be limiting spectators at indoor athletic events to Princeton students, faculty, and staff who are fully compliant with the University's COVID-19 protocols. This attendance restriction will extend through January 31. Princeton students, faculty, and staff who are fully compliant with the University's COVID-19 protocols may show their Princeton ID at the door to gain admission to athletics events from now through January 31. All seats will be general admission.
The Tigers (4-3, 1-2 Ivy) have won five in a row against Cornell overall since the Big Red's last win in the series in 2016, and Princeton has won the last two against Cornell in Ithaca since Cornell's last home win over Princeton in 2015. Cornell (3-4, 2-2) split last weekend's visit from Dartmouth and Harvard, with the Crimson winning on Sunday.
The Lions have won the last two against Princeton since the Tigers last win over Columbia in 2019, which came in Jadwin. Like Cornell, Columbia (7-4, 1-3) split the weekend, defeating Dartmouth after a loss to Harvard.
Individually, Tiger senior Youssef Ibrahim will carry a six-match winning streak, all at the top spot, into the weekend, which is Princeton's second-to-last of the Ivy season. The Tigers will host Penn on Feb. 5 to conclude the league slate.
