Women’s Tennis Has Strong Second Day at ITA Northeast Regional

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University women's tennis team had a strong second day at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Northeast Regional Championships Sunday morning, winning five out of its six matches.
Maia Sung and Zoe Howard advanced to the round of 16 in doubles, taking down Elinor Storkaas and Leopoldine Boisseau of Long Island University, 8-3.
In singles, Grace Joyce earned a 7-5, 6-4 win over Army's Paige Herreman, and Howard overcame Dominque Yeo of St. Francis (Pa.), 6-1, 6-1. Sung prevailed 6-3, 6-3 over NJIT's Shalom Salvi, while Bennetto triumphed over Shivani Ingle of NJIT, 6-1, 6-2.
