MALIBU – The No. 12 Princeton Tigers dropped a 9-7 decision to the No. 10 Pepperdine Waves on Tuesday.
After allowing the first goal of the game, Princeton registered three straight to end the first quarter highlighted by two from Vladan Mitrovic to set the score at 4-2.
Following a tally from Pierce Maloney, the Waves tied the game at 5-all at the break. The third frame was a defensive battle as each team scoring a goal. Mitrovic posted his third goal of the contest to begin the fourth stanza, but Pepperdine rolled off three straight to take a 9-7 lead with four minutes to go. The Tigers could not get any closer as Pepperdine took home the win.
Princeton continues its trip at No. 11 LMU on Thursday.
