Pito Walton Named ECAC Defender Of The Week

Senior tri-captain Pito Walton has been named ECAC Defender Of The Week after a weekend sweep for the Tigers that has vaulted Princeton into a tie for third place in the ECAC.
Walton tied his career high with three assists in Saturday's 6-5 win over RPI, and he was instrumental in a swarming defensive effort that led to a shutout of Union on Friday.
The three helpers on Saturday give Walton eight for the season -- a new single-season high. His 11 points through 13 games match his season-best of 11 tallied over 31 games last season.
Walton has now registered at least one point in eight of Princeton's 13 games this season, and he has two multi-point games in his last four outings.
The Tigers are off for exams, returning to action December 30-31 for a two-game series at Colorado College. Princeton will return to Hobey Baker Rink January 6-7 for the #Hobey100 Weekend celebrating the 100th season of Hobey Baker Rink.
