Princeton, N.J. - The No. 3 Princeton University Men's Squash team will open up the 2022-23 campaign at home on Sunday against the Rochester University Yellowjackets.
The team, led by captains Daelum Mawji, Maaz Khatri, and Kion Bruno, returns 11 players who played matches in one of the top-nine spots last season.
The Tigers' squad of experienced upperclassmen will also be complimented with four newcomers on this years' roster.
Avi Agarwal, David Beeson, Alhassan Khalil, and Federico Sosa are all first-year Tigers joining the team from the class of 2026.
The 2022-23 College Squash National Pre-Season Poll recently placed Princeton within the top-ten at the No. 3 spot. Harvard was ranked first, Penn second, and Yale in fourth. Princeton will match up against all these Ivy Leauge opponents later on this season.
The Robert W. Callahan '77 Head Coach, Sean Wilkinson, enters his tenth year coaching the Tigers in 2022-23.
"We are incredibly excited to get our season underway this weekend," said Wilkinson, "The guys have been training hard all semester, and we are excited to see where they are in their development this year. Rochester has been a very competitive opponent in previous years, and we know that Mario will have them ready to compete. We know we will absolutely need to be at our best on Sunday."
