Princeton Men’s Squash Defeats Rochester in Season Opener

Princeton, NJ - No. 3 Princeton men's squash opened the 2022-23 season on a high note, defeating Rochester 7-2 in Jadwin Gymnasium.
The Tigers had a great crowd of supporters cheering on the squad on for their first home match of the season.
The 7-2 home opener victory was a great, team effort, featuring several sweeps contributing to the Princeton win.
Players from positions 4 to 9, (Thomas Rosini, David Beeson, Zain Ahmed, Gordon Lam, Alhassan Khalil, and Arin Mukherjee) all dominated the match and swept their Rochester opponents 3-0.
Notably, Beeson and Khalil both made their collegiate squash debuts and earned their first, collegiate wins against Rochester.
Gordon Lam only let up 8 points within the entire match, and dominated his second game of the day, outscoring Quinlan Jeudy 11-1.
In an exciting match that went to five games, Alastair Cho managed to come out on top at the number 3 spot to defeat his Rochester opponent 3-2. Cho outscored Luis Enrique Moncada Gonzalez 11-3 in the fifth game to take the victory for Princeton.
The Yellowjackets only managed to score twice against the Tigers. The Rochester victories came from both the number 1 and 2 position.
