No. 3 Men’s Squash Set to Take on Columbia and Cornell this Week

Princeton N.J. – The No. 3 Princeton Men's Squash team is set to face a duo of Ivy League opponents this week to open 2023 play.
Princeton will travel to New York to take on No. 9 Columbia on Friday and will then return to action in Jadwin Gymnasium on Sunday when the Tigers' match up against #8 Cornell.
Princeton will face the Lions coming off a 7-2 victory over Rochester in December. The Tigers' match against Columbia will be their first match of 2023 on the road.
No. 9 Columbia
The Columbia Lions currently hold a 1-2 record, with both losses to Top-10 programs (#5 Virginia and #7 Drexel). Last season, Princeton defeated the Lions 8-1, gaining their first win over Columbia since 2019. The Tigers will look to extend their winning streak on Friday against their Ivy League opponent while in New York.
No. 8 Cornell
Cornell has yet to lose a match this season, maintaining a 5-0 record for 2022-23. In November, the team swept both Brown and Hobart College with a score of 9-0. Last season, Princeton defeated Cornell 8-1 while in Ithaca. The Tigers will look to gain another victory over the Big Red while at home in Jadwin.
The Tigers will match up against the Lions at at 2:00 p.m. at the SL Green StreetSquash Center on Friday and then face Cornell at 2:30 p.m. in Jadwin Gymnasium.
