PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University women's tennis team knocked off No. 29 Old Dominion 4-3, Friday afternoon at the Cordish Family Pavilion and Lenz Tennis Center. The Monarchs came into the match against Princeton having won their last six in a row.
The Tigers secured the doubles point, the tandem of Daria Frayman and Nathalie Rodilosso cruising to a 6-0 victory against Shahar Biran and Marina Alcaide in the No. 3 spot, while the pairing of Neha Velaga and Skyler Grishuk rolled to a 6-2 win over Sofia Johnson and Alesya Yakubovich in the No. 2 spot.
In singles, Brianna Shvets topped Sofia Johnson 6-1, 6-2 in the No. 4 spot while Victoria Hu finished off Alexandra Viktorovitch 6-2, 6-3 in the No. 3 spot. Zoe Howard secured the win for the Tigers, dropping Marina Alcaide 6-3, 6-4 in the No. 5 spot.
