All-America Honors Roll In For Women's Lacrosse
May 26, 2022 | Women's Lacrosse
As the 2022 women's lacrosse season winds down across the country with Championship Weekend on the horizon, All-American honors are rolling in for the 2022 IVy League champion Princeton Tigers.
Kyla Sears and Marge Donovan have been named IWLCA All-Americans, while Sears and Donovan were joined by Sam Fish on the Inside Lacrosse All-American team.
Kyla Sears was named second-team IWLCA All-American on attack, her third second-team All-America selection of the season. Earlier this week, she was named to ILWomen's second team, and she was a second-team USA Lacrosse choice at the beginning of May. The 2022 Ivy League Attacker of the Year, Sears now ranks No. 1 all-time in points by a Tiger with 285, No. 1 in goals with 202, No. 1 in assists with 97 and No. 1 in free position goals with 68. Her production has made an impact nationally as she ranks No. 7 among active players in points-per-game, No. 12 in goals-per-game, and No. 20 in assists-per-game. A three-time first-team All-Ivy selection, Sears ranks No. 3 all-time in points by an Ivy League player, No. 4 in goals and No. 7 in assists.
Marge Donovan also secured her third All-America honor of the 2022 season with her third-team IWLCA All-American nod. She had previously been named second-team All-America by both Inside Lacrosse and USA Lacrosse Magazine. The 2022 Ivy League Defender of the Year and a first-team All-Ivy selection, Donovan graduated as the program's all-time leader in career draw controls (214) and draws in a season (112 in 2022).
Sam Fish, the 2022 Ivy League Goalkeeper of the Year and a first-team All-Ivy honoree, was named honorable mention All-American by Inside Lacrosse earlier this week
