Princeton Honored With USILA Team And Individual Academic Awards

The Princeton men's lacrosse team finished off a pretty good season double when the USILA honored its Team All-Academic Award recipients. The Tigers combined a trip to the Final Four with a team academic award as it was recognized for having a cumulative roster GPA of just under 3.5.

In addition, Princeton was also represented by four players who won senior Scholar All-American honors. Those four are defenseman George Baughan, attackman Chris Brown, goalie Erik Peters and longstick midfielder Andrew Song.

"Our goal is to run the highest quality program we can," says Princeton head coach Matt Madalon. "To us, that means having the right players, students and citizens. We are just as proud of the achievements that our guys have accomplished with the tough academic demands at Princeton as we are of what we were able to do on the field."

Princeton went 11-5 in 2022 and reached the NCAA's Championship Weekend. Princeton and Rutgers were the only two teams in Division I to reach the Final Four and win the Team All-Academic Award.
