Women's Swimming & Diving Earns Senior Day Win Over La Salle, 180-110

RESULTS
PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University women's swimming & diving team had earned a 180-110 victory over La Salle on Senior Day, Saturday at DeNunzio Pool.
Prior to the meet, a ceremony was held to honor the Tigers' Class of 2023; Nikki Venema and Amelia Liu.
The meet opened with a victory in the 200 medley relay; Sabrina Johnston, Venema, Heidi Smithwick and Ela Noble finished in 1:44.73. Ellie Marquardt followed with a win in the 1,000 freestyle, touching the wall at 10:27.02, and Smithwick earned her second triumph of the day in the 200 freestyle where she clocked in at 1:52.74.
Johnston made it four wins from four events in the 100 backstroke, where she finished with a time of 56.21.
In the 200 butterfly, Alexa Pappas finished second in 2:07.60 and Isabella Korbly would earn a second-place finish in the 50 freestyle in 23.97.
Charlotte Martinkus continued her strong freshman campaign, earning the win on the 1-meter board with a score of 277.43.
Noble would finish second in the 100 freestyle, posting a time of 52.86.
Margaux McDonald;s time of 2:02.84 in the 200 backstroke saw her secure a first-place finish, while Smithwick finished second in the 100 breaststroke in 2:23.48.
Venema's second win of the day came in the 500 freestyle, where she touched the wall at 5:00.17, while Liu earned the Senior Day victory in the 100 butterfly after clocking in at 55.37.
The Tigers would earn a sweep of the diving events after Francesca Noviello prevailed on the 3-meter board, posting a score of 299.93.
Liu's second victory of the day came in the 200 IM, where she clocked in at 2:06.06. The meet wrapped up with a Princeton win in the 200 freestyle relay as the Noble, Smithwick, Johnston and Venema finished with a time of 1:34.90.
