Ivy League Heptagonal Championships
October 28th (Sat.) | 11:00 a.m. | Franklin Park - Boston, Mass.
Championship Central | Live Timing | ESPN+ | International Broadcast | Course Map
On Saturday, the women's cross country team will compete in the Ivy league Heptagonal Championships at Franklin Park in Boston.
The women are set to begin their 6k at 11:00 a.m. The meet will be streamed on ESPN+ for the first time ever and live results will be available at Leone Timing.
Throughout this season, the Tigers have faced numerous ranked rivals. Saturday presents yet another chance for the team to showcase Princeton's finest at Franklin Park against the other Ivy opponents.
Two weeks ago, the Princeton women finished in second place at the IC4A/ECAC Championships, with standout performances from Tsion Yared, securing a third-place finish, and Maggie Liebich, claiming sixth place. The Tigers aim to capitalize on this recent success as they approach Saturday's race.
At last year's Ivy League Championships, the Tigers secure second place, trailing Harvard. Fiona Max and Tsion Yared claimed the ninth and 14th positions, respectively.
Coach Brad's Comments
"We arrive at the beginning of championship season in good health, rolling with great momentum and full of confidence.," said head coach Brad Hunt. "We will line up eight women running the Ivy League Cross Country Championships for the first time in their career. Our depth is our strength and we have been emphasizing the advantage of racing as a pack in training. As a program, we have improved dramatically over the past two seasons and this group has evolved immensely over the last few weeks. I am excited to see our young and talented group mix it up with the top teams in the league. The Ivy League Championships is the best conference meet atmosphere in the country and we are ready for the moment."
