NEW YORK – The No. 6 Men's Water Polo Team collected two wins in New York to move 5-0 in the Northeast Water Polo Conference.
No. 6 Princeton 16, LIU 8
The Tigers scored the first six goals of the game and held the LIU Sharks scoreless for the first 11:44 of game action. Princeton scored five times in the first quarter and six more times in the second frame and led 11-2 at the break.
The road squad led by as many as 12 in the second half and took home a 16-8 victory.
George Caras scored a hat trick to lead the unit while Princeton had nine different goal scorers in the win.
No. 6 Princeton 16, Iona 9
Princeton held Iona off the scoreboard in the first stanza, racing out to a 4-0 advantage. Head coach Dustin Litvak's group hardly slowed down in the second quarter, ripping off six tallies, holding a 10-3 lead at halftime.
Iona never got closer than six in the second half, going goal for goal with Princeton as the Tigers collected a seven-goal win.
