Tyler Rubin Named ECAC Defender Of The Week

Sophomore defenseman Tyler Rubin dialed up some heroics on Saturday night, netting the game-winner in overtime to cap a 3-2 comeback win for Princeton over Brown. For his work in both games during Princeton's sweep at Baker Rink, Rubin has been named ECAC Defender of the Week for the first time in his career.
Rubin tallied a goal and two assists during Princeton's two overtime wins, registering three total points. He had an assist in Friday's 5-4 win over Yale, and followed wit a goal and an assist on the game-tying goal with 1:05 left in regulation against the Bears.
Through four games this season, Rubin has accumulated four total points on two goals and two assists. Last season, he had five points (1g, 4a) over 26 games.
The Tigers return to Baker Rink next weekend, hosting Colgate (November 17) and Cornell (November 18) at 7 p.m.
