Quincy Monday & Maggie Connors Named Winter PNC Student-Athlete Achievers

The PNC Bank Student-Athlete Achiever Award, now in its eighth year, provides Princeton Athletics the opportunity to identify two student-athletes per season, as nominated by their head coaches, who have excelled not only in their competitive landscape, but in their overall achievement as a member of the Princeton University Community. Princeton Athletics thanks its partner, PNC Bank, for its continued support of the department and partnership in highlighting the exceptional efforts of Tiger student-athletes both on and off the field of play.

MAGGIE CONNORS '23 (Ice Hockey)
Maggie Connors is a senior forward and captain for Princeton women's ice hockey, having helped the Tigers to the 2020 ECAC Tournament Championship. She was a member of the 2019 ECAC All-Rookie Team and has earned All-Ivy accolades in each of her three seasons.
A politics major and perennial ECAC All-Academic honoree, Connors already ranks top-15 in program history in career goals and assists. The St. John's, Newfoundland-native is also a member of Canada's national women's hockey development team.
Off the ice, Connors is a member of the orientation student advisory board. She has coached and mentored young athletes with Down Syndrome through the Special Olympics, and volunteered with the Coach for College program where she taught academic subjects and life skills virtually to underserved Vietnamese students.
QUINCY MONDAY '23 (Wrestling)
Quincy Monday is a two-year team captain and two-time All-American for Princeton wrestling. Last season saw Monday capture an EIWA championship en route to being an NCAA Finalist at 157 lbs.
A NWCA Scholar All-American and Academic All-Ivy honoree, Monday has spent his senior campaign ranked top-five nationally at both 157 and 165 lbs. He was recently named the Most Outstanding Wrestler at the prestigious Midlands Championships.
Off the mat, Monday helped found and lead the Black Student-Athlete Collective, which aims to advocate for and support student-athletes of color and their Princeton experience. He has previously served as a Health Professions Advisor on campus and mentors young wrestlers through clinics with the Trenton Youth Association.
Monday is an Anthropology major from Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
